The contract will be a fixed-term 1-year appointment.

The role will be split with 50% of the time dedicated to DHVL activities, 20% to PG Cert, and 30% clinical work.

As a Clinical Innovation Fellow (CIF), you will play a key role in clinical project management and the evaluation of health technologies within the Digital Health Validation Lab (DHVL). You will be responsible for tracking progress and providing final reports to the DHVL operations team.

The CIF is a core member of the DHVL team and the relevant clinical team based at the QEUH Campus.

DHVL activities focus on evaluating health technologies in collaboration with academic and industry partners, including facilitating access to clinical expertise, formulating research protocols, contributing to grant applications, and delivering projects across clinical areas.

The CIF will engage with Research & Innovation personnel to ensure project success from inception to reporting. The role is supported by the DHVL operations team and reports to the Portfolio Manager and Clinical Director & Academic Lead.

Current projects include:

* Artificial intelligence for imaging interpretation
* Medical technologies for stroke characterization
* Risk stratification in Diabetes
* Orthopaedic surgical planning using digital tools
* Respiratory device innovation for COPD care

Clinical activities will be in specialties at QEUH, such as Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, and Emergency Medicine. You will gain experience in care pathways, with clinical training and supervision to develop your skills and support your career goals. The role includes 20% of time dedicated to achieving a PG Cert in health economics and health technology assessment, with opportunities to present at meetings and publish related to innovation activities.

Salary ranges from £48,288 to £91,753 depending on experience.
