Restructuring Advisory Associate - MVL
We are searching for an experienced Restructuring Advisory Associate - MVL.
Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM’s current and future clients within the middle market. Overall Job Purpose
An exciting opportunity to develop a broad range of commercial skills and experience across advisory and formal Members Voluntary Liquidation (MVL) assignments within the Restructuring National Members Voluntary Liquidation team.
You will assist in delivering orderly wind-downs, corporate reorganizations, and work on MVL appointments across diverse clients, ensuring high-quality service to clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
1. Complete assignments following the Firm’s procedures and statutory obligations, confirming arrangements with clients, companies, or appointers, including costs and billing.
2. Collaborate with team members to plan and execute assignments, potentially managing cases, providing training and support to junior staff, progressing MVL cases from start to finish, and handling administrative tasks such as billing and data entry.
3. Understand client challenges, develop solutions, and communicate effectively with clients, including attendance at meetings, analyzing information, providing practical advice on wind-down scenarios, and working on group reorganization projects.
4. Assist with client onboarding procedures and ensure timely completion of necessary documentation.
5. Manage project budgets, monitor profitability, and ensure timely billing.
6. Participate in marketing activities, staff meetings, and training sessions.
7. Observe health and safety policies and report concerns.
8. Perform other duties within the scope of the role as assigned by management.
Personal and Professional Qualities
1. Previous experience in client handling.
2. Experience in Restructuring Advisory and/or Insolvency is advantageous; CPI qualification is a plus but not mandatory.
3. Strong organizational, time management, and commercial skills.
4. Excellent communication skills for internal and external interactions.
5. Commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
6. Interest in promoting the service line internally and externally.
