Our Local Government client based in Oxfordshire, is currently recruiting for a Litigation Lawyer to join the team on a permanent basis.
The position is due to start as soon as possible, and they are offering up to £52,658 per annum dependent on PQE.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within the Local Authority setting and specifically within Criminal Litigation.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Handling and advising on a variety of civil and criminal disputes, principally concerning land, property or contracts
* Carrying own caseload of both Claimant and Defendant matters, including covering Court work and hearings as required
* Providing expert legal advice and representation in various civil disputes
* Conducting legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents, and providing case analysis
* Assisting in negotiating settlements and alternative dispute resolutions when appropriate
* Advising in respect of selective and additional licensing schemes and enforcement work
* Conducting advocacy as required in relation to cases involving trading standards, environmental health and licensing matters
Experience required:
* Knowledge in Criminal Law
Working hours:
* 37 hours per week
* Monday – Friday
