Job Overview Reddam House Berkshire are seeking to appoint a Director of Senior Drama to join in January 2026 teaching students in Year 7 to Year 13. Line Manager/Reporting into: Head of Academics Full Time Contract Type: Permanent Accommodation may be available Role Summary & Job Purpose The Reddam House Drama Departmen t boasts its own dedicated theatre space, the ‘Harriet Walter Theatre,’ where students gain hands-on experience in a fully functional, professional-standard environment. Drama education spans from Early Years to A-Level, offering every student multiple performance opportunities throughout the year. The department is enhanced by the support of a dedicated Theatre Technician/Theatre Manager. Drama is highly popular and integrated into the curriculum for all age groups up to Year 9. Senior School students pursue IGCSE Drama (CIE) and A-Level (AQA) courses, Extracurricular Drama is a particular strength, featuring an annual cycle of Christmas pantomimes, school plays, musicals, and drama showcases. We are seeking to appoint a committed and dynamic Director of Senior Drama who can deliver inspirational lessons across all aspects of the Drama curriculum. The successful candidate will have the ability to motivate, enthuse and influence our students, to ensure optimum levels of student learning and achievement from Year 7 to Year 13, with a particular emphasis on public exam classes. They will also be required to lead on School productions, alongside other key staff and play an active role in the extra-curricular activities run by the Faculty and/or elsewhere in the school.
