Our client, a prestigious City law firm, is seeking an experienced Records Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in records management within a legal environment.
Duties will include:
1. Overseeing the day to day operations of the records function, and escalating issues to the Facilities Manager when necessary
2. Managing the archiving, retrieval, and return of deeds and wills as needed
3. Retrieving and returning files in a timely manner upon request
4. Responding promptly and accurately to archiving queries via email and Microsoft Teams
5. Coordinating with the external archiving storage providers, ensuring clear instructions are given for timely and complete collections and deliveries
6. Conducting inductions for relevant new employees on records management services and procedures
7. Preparing monthly workload and activity reports, including recommendations for additional resources if required
