The Role As a SEN Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-set work while maintaining a calm and purposeful learning environment. In addition, you will support teaching staff across the school, assisting with classroom activities and helping pupils access learning successfully. Key responsibilities include: Delivering pre-prepared lessons to secondary-aged students Managing behaviour confidently and consistently in line with school policy Supporting pupils with autism and additional needs to remain focused and regulated Assisting teachers within lessons when not covering classes Promoting positive routines, engagement and independence Providing feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil progress and behaviourThis role requires strong behaviour management skills, confidence leading a class and the ability to build positive, professional relationships with students.
