Position As an integral part of our the Legal and Compliance team, you will be tasked with providing expert legal guidance and support in a fast-paced SaaS focused business. This position demands a strong background in commercial contracts, and contract drafting and negotiation. Experience of SaaS contracts would be a bonus. You will be a proactive problem solver and strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills and a strong ethical foundation. In this dynamic and diverse role, you will work closely with various departments, including sales, finance, human resources, and executive leadership, providing legal insights that drive informed business decisions and safeguard our organisational interests. Thriving in a fast-paced environment and adept at juggling competing high priority legal issues with a high degree of professionalism. Whether you are drafting and negotiating contracts, or advising on intellectual property matters, your contributions will be critical to our ongoing success and sustainability. Your key responsibilities Providing legal advice and guidance to the senior leadership team and other company departments across a wide range of topics Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts Ensuring compliance with industry regulations Assistance with company secretarial matters Participating in mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions Developing and implementing legal strategies to protect the company's interests Qualifications and Skills A degree from a reputable university Qualified as either a solicitor or barrister in England Strong background in commercial contracts Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills Experience in a SaaS business would be advantageous Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrable ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong legal drafting and documentation skills High degree of professional ethics and integrity Proficiency in legal research tools and software Mission and Values Our values are central to our vision, as they represent how we collaborate to continually deliver for our customers: Accountability: We own our actions and shape our success on the results we deliver Innovation: We tackle challenges with fresh thinking and bold ideas Teamwork: We work together, recognising we can’t do this without each other Trust: We build trust on integrity, transparency and mutual respect We are looking for an individual who embraces our values in their actions, decisions, communications and processes to inspire positivity and, ultimately, exceptional performance.
