GP Receptionist needed in Barnsley
We are currently seeking an experienced GP Receptionist to support a busy and friendly GP practice, on a locum basis until the end of March.
Location: Barnsley, S70
System: EMIS
Rate: £14 per hour (PAYE)
Contract: Locum – Until end of March
Hours: 8:00am – 6:30pm (30-minute break) – some flexibility available
Key Responsibilities:
Front desk reception duties
Booking and managing appointments
Handling patient enquiries (face-to-face and telephone)
Processing prescriptions and administrative tasks
Supporting clinicians and practice team as required
Requirements:
Previous GP reception experience (essential)
EMIS system experience (essential)
Valid NHS Smartcard (essential)
Confident managing a busy workload
Professional, friendly and patient-focused approach
