Nursery Manager Doncaster Early Years Lead - Full-time Permanent Position
Seeking enthusiastic, team-oriented individuals with a passion for working with children to fill the role of Nursery Manager.
The ideal candidate will have previous nursery experience and a strong background in early childhood education. We are looking for someone with a creative and nurturing personality, who thrives in creating stimulating environments that encourage and support the development of young minds.
A key responsibility is to ensure children's safety and well-being, and to create a happy, warm, and creative nursery environment.
This role involves overseeing the daily operations and management of the nursery to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate office records, communicating effectively with owners, and ensuring staff deliver high standards of care and education, preserving the nursery's excellent local reputation. The nursery is located in central Doncaster with good transport and motorway links.
Note: This position may be suitable for a deputy or room leader aspiring to move into a more senior role.
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent. Paediatric First Aid (training can be completed after appointment). Designated safeguarding and child protection certificates (can be obtained during registration).
Previous management experience in an early years setting, preferably in a private nursery, is essential. This role is ideal for a senior or deputy manager seeking career advancement, with support available from the owner and current nursery manager.
Extensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, recent revisions, and current Ofsted guidance. Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Excellent communication skills with children and adults, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Proactive support for inclusive practices across all areas of work.
Ability to write reports and maintain clear, accurate records.
Effective team leadership skills to support education and training within the setting.
Ability to lead the nursery team through changes in government regulations and guidance.
Capability to implement ongoing improvements and model appropriate behaviour.
Strong organizational skills, with basic administrative and IT skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
