Curriculum Leader of English Leith Academy Salary: £67,053 Hours: 35 per week We are looking for a dynamic forward thinking Acting Curriculum Leader to support the great work we do to with the young people of Leith in English and Literacy. Our vision statement is Success in Learning for All and we believe firmly in supporting the pupils in our diverse community to achieve the best they can. We have strong take up in English across National, Higher and Advanced Higher level. We are also working with course pathways such as National Progression Awards. Literacy is a large part of this remit and our pupils in S4 are performing above their comparator average. We have a large team of colleagues in English and we are looking for a professional with excellent relationship skills to continue the excellent work of our current post holder. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory. Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
