Team Overview: The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) department is dedicated to ensuring the wellbeing of all employees, contractors, and visitors across every project and site. They develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, risk assessments, and compliance with legal and industry standards. By fostering a strong safety culture and promoting environmental responsibility, the HSE team plays a critical role in protecting people, reducing incidents, and supporting sustainable business practices throughout Alternative Heat. Role Overview: The HSE Document Controller will support the creation, approval and distribution of HSE policies, procedures, work instructions and other related documentation. Core responsibilities will involve version control, track approvals, and ensure regulatory compliance for all stakeholders. By upholding strict document management protocols, this enhances collaboration and helps maintain consistency and accuracy across all elements of the documented management system and project communications. The HSE Document Controller ensures that all HSE documentation is accurately managed, controlled, and accessible across the organisation. This role supports compliance with regulatory requirements, internal standards, and external audits by maintaining a robust document control system. Job Title | Document Controller Location | Head Office, Banbridge Hours | Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm Salary | Competitive Depending on Experience Responsible to | HSE Senior Compliance Manager What You'll be Doing As an HSE Document Controller you will be responsible for keeping all HSE documentation organised, accurate, and up to date ensuring wider team compliance. You will manage the flow of documents, such as policies, procedures, RAMS, permits, and audit records, ensuring each one is properly reviewed, approved, version controlled, and distributed. You will be required to maintain the documented management system, support staff in accessing or submitting documents, and prepare registers or reports for audits and inspections. In essence, act as the central hub that keeps HSE information controlled, traceable, and readily available across the organisation.
