Sandness Primary School is a non-denominational school in Sandness, offering primary education from P1 to P7 for children from Sandness and surrounding areas. The school has one composite primary class with currently 12 pupils. It is managed by a Head Teacher (joint with Happyhansel), currently Mrs. Elizabeth Garrick, and staffed by one teacher supported by additional staff as needed.
Applicants should specify in their application whether they are registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS). If not, they should indicate whether they have sought confirmation of their eligibility for registration.
We seek candidates with the relevant qualifications and experience, as well as qualities such as vision, energy, initiative, good communication skills, and self-discipline.

* The salary includes a Distant Islands Allowance of £2,859 per annum
* This is a permanent, full-time position for 35 hours per week
* Preferred candidates will need to join or update their membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to employment
* Applicants must be registered with the GTCS before starting
* No relocation package is available
