Search are supporting the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant to join our client's Edinburgh office. If you have experience working within an accountancy practice and are looking to join a supportive team, you'd be encouraged to apply.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
* Complete and submit VAT returns accurately and on time
* Carry out bookkeeping and payroll tasks for a range of clients
* Provide day-to-day support and advice to clients on financial matters
* Use cloud-based accounting software to streamline processes and improve client service
Skills and experience you'll ideally have:
* Demonstrable experience in an accountancy practice environment
* Confident preparing accounts to trial balance and beyond
* Familiarity with cloud accounting tools
* Strong communication skills and comfortable engaging internal and external stakeholders
