Summary
The RN plans, coordinates, and provides total nursing care, supervising clinical staff.
Qualifications
* Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
* Valid RN license in the state of employment.
* Valid CPR certification.
* One year of nursing experience preferred.
Job Functions
* Lead team conferences and develop individualized care plans.
* Assess and document residents' conditions.
* Implement physicians' orders accurately and promptly.
* Assign care duties to team members based on needs and qualifications.
* Supervise, direct, and evaluate LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
* Administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document accordingly.
* Participate in orientation and training.
* Assist with tests and procedures within scope of practice.
* Ensure supplies and equipment are maintained properly.
* Record observations and coordinate care with other departments.
* Interview and recommend staff hires, participate in disciplinary actions.
* Manage nursing unit scheduling and staffing.
* Perform other assigned tasks.

Preferred Education
* Associates degree or higher in Nursing.
