Job Title:Site-Based Quantity Surveyor – Substation Build
Location:West London (3–4 days per week on site)
Contract Type:Contract (Inside IR35 – via Umbrella Company)
Day Rate:£550/day (Approx. £6,800/month after tax and deductions)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experiencedQuantity Surveyorto join a major substation construction project inWest London. This is asite-based rolerequiring attendance3–4 days per week, with the remainder of the time working remotely or from a designated office.
You will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of the project, ensuring cost control, contract compliance, and value delivery throughout the build phase.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and monitor project costs and budgets
* Prepare and review subcontractor packages and valuations
* Conduct site measurements and valuations
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and IR35 regulations
* Provide accurate and timely cost reporting and forecasting
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on infrastructure or substation projects
* Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
* Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
* Ability to work independently and on-site 3–4 days per week
* Must operate through anumbrella company(Inside IR35)
* Experience using SYPRO contract management softwareis highly desirable
