This is an excellent opportunity to join my client, an innovative, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy, known for their expertise across the entire water landscape. They are actively seeking a capable, keen EIA Consultant, willing to take on a variety of challenging projects alongside an already-established team of expert scientists and engineers, based near the historical, multicultural city of Newport, South Wales.

Responsibilities for the role of EIA Consultant include:
10. Apply yourself to an array of water-related projects
11. Provide key hydrological, water resource, and peat management Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for renewable energy, infrastructure, and transportation projects
12. Work with internal and external specialists, to produce EIA
13. Prepare and deliver project planning applications
14. Contribute to business development strategies
Required skills and experience for the role of EIA Consultant include:
15. A good Bachelor’s Degree (Upper Second Class Honours or higher) in an environmental or numerate discipline
16. Demonstrable experience in producing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for water environments (e.g. rivers, lakes, wetlands, etc.)
17. Experience of coordinating Environmental Assessments
18. Excellent working knowledge of EIA regulations
19. Good working knowledge of the UK Planning System
20. Sound understanding of flood management and drainage strategies/systems
21. Proficient in the use of GIS software packages
22. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
23. Outstanding numeracy skills
24. Possess a full, valid UK driving licence and your own vehicle
25. Willing to travel across the UK to undertake a variety of projects
Desirable skills and experience for the role of EIA Consultant include:
26. An additional Higher Degree/Qualification in a relevant environmental or numerate discipline
27. Possess professional membership of a relevant professional body (or proactively working toward this)
