An innovative and high-achieving 11–18 academy in Warwickshire is seeking a skilled and creative Teacher of Design & Technology to join its Technical and Creative Arts faculty from January 2026. Students are encouraged to think critically, solve real problems and design with purpose. The Department The DT department sits at the cutting edge of modern teaching. Facilities include advanced workshops for product design and resistant materials, a CAD/CAM suite, 3D printers, laser cutters, and dedicated spaces for graphics and electronics. The curriculum is broad and ambitious, designed to prepare students for the modern world of engineering, design and innovation. The department works closely with local universities and employers, offering students opportunities to engage with design challenges, enterprise initiatives and national competitions. Staff have the freedom to innovate, and collaboration across departments, particularly with Science, Computing and Art, is strongly encouraged. The Role You’ll teach DT across Key Stages 3–5, adapting lessons to suit a range of materials and technologies. You’ll have autonomy to introduce new project ideas and contribute to ongoing curriculum development.
