Site Engineer – Aberdeenshire | Full-Time | Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join a well-established civil engineering and multi-utilities contractor. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects across the UK, supporting a growing team following new contract awards.

The Role
As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate delivery of civil engineering projects, providing technical support, and coordinating site activities. You will work closely with site teams, project managers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation of tenders and project documentation
* Liaising with clients, statutory bodies, and other stakeholders
* Setting out site works and preparing “as-built” drawings for awarded contracts
* Supervising site activities, issuing job instructions, and leading toolbox talks
* Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and quality
* Supporting QHSE compliance, assessing risks, and producing RAMS as required
* Assisting with material requisitions and project resources
* Supporting the Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor with project measurements and valuations
* Operating internal management systems (IMS)
* Managing minor employee issues within your team and escalating as required
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil engineering, including site setting out and supervision
* Knowledge of contracting principles and civil engineering best practices
* Multi-utility experience (beneficial)
* SSSTS/SMSTS accreditation and a valid CPCS card
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills
* Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and think strategically to solve problems
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
* Commercial awareness and a proactive, flexible approach
