Job Title: Material Technology Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to support the development of advanced surface materials and technologies for bespoke and personalisation projects.

This includes collaborating with materiality designers, suppliers, and the wider team to create visual and numerical standards for use within the supply chain and vehicle assembly.

A strong understanding of relevant material technologies, combined with excellent technical and development expertise, is essential for success in this position.

In addition to a good grasp of product and automotive design principles, a high level of aesthetic judgement, colour vision, and perception are required.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent experience, as well as good communication skills and the ability to relate to and communicate at all levels.

Proficiency in programme management and KPI measurement is desirable, but not essential.

This role will require a UK driving licence for independent travel to suppliers and manufacturing sites, and occasional overseas travel may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the development of advanced surface materials and technologies for bespoke and personalisation projects.
* Collaborate with materiality designers, suppliers, and the wider team to create visual and numerical standards.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve material performance and efficiency.
* Manage relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
* Maintain accurate records and reports to track project progress and outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Strong understanding of relevant material technologies and technical expertise.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

* Programme management and KPI measurement experience.
* Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools.
