Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the well established Neurology team at University Hospitals Dorset. With close links to Southampton University Hospital, there is opportunity to work closely with the tertiary hospital team. This is a permanent post working full time, with an opportunity for specialists in Epilepsy or Multiple Sclerosis. Both these specialities are well supported by a MDT of practitioners and you would work closely as a team. The post holder would be expected to play a full role in delivery of the Neurology service across Dorset. This includes support to the acute wards for Neurology patients as well as carrying an outpatient case load.
Responsibilities
* Play a full role in delivering the Neurology service across Dorset.
* Support the acute wards for Neurology patients.
* Carry an outpatient caseload.
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) of practitioners.
* Collaborate with the tertiary hospital team at Southampton University Hospital where applicable.
Other Information
UHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview.
If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.

As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality care across seven days, this post may involve participation in an out-of-hours rota, including evenings, weekends, and/or bank holidays, in accordance with service needs. Any work undertaken outside standard hours/PA's will attract remuneration in line with the respective NHS Medical and Dental Terms and Conditions of Service.
