* Hold a degree qualification in a relevant scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or a related subject.
* Be able to work the fixed shift pattern of Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9:00am – 6:45pm.
* Successfully pass a colour blindness assessment as part of the recruitment process.
* Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and accuracy.
* Be comfortable working within a regulated laboratory environment.

Desirable

* Previous laboratory experience.
* Knowledge of water quality testing or environmental laboratories.
* Full UK driving licence.

Training & Development

Full training will be provided to ensure successful candidates are fully competent in laboratory procedures, equipment operation, quality systems and health & safety requirements.

Important Information

Following successful completion of the initial 12-week temporary period, candidates will be offered a permanent contract.

Once employed on a permanent basis, you will be required to participate in a compulsory standby rota, which will include out-of-hours and emergency response work as required by operational needs.

If you are a motivated science graduate looking to build a long‑term career within the water industry, we would like to hear from you.
