Job Description
Leeds City College are recruiting for a Teacher of Uniformed Public Services to join our team. This role is part time 14.8 hours (2 days), with an pro rata salary of £12,210 to £13,739 per annum.
Within the School of Public Services at Leeds City College, we offer a range of study programmes across levels 1 to 3 to over 390 learners.

Our curriculum includes:
* Level 1, 2 & 3 Diplomas for entry to the uniformed services.
* Level 1 Introduction to Community and Youth Services, developed with CATCH.
* A bespoke 19+ cohort for career changers.
* Launching in September 2025: Preparation for Apprenticeship Programme.
What You Will Do
Deliver topics such as:
* Preparation for careers in uniformed services
* Land-Based/Water-Based Activities
* Hierarchy and routine in uniformed services
* Discipline in the uniformed services
Core responsibilities:
* Develop learners' skills and career prospects.
* Plan and develop schemes of work, lesson plans, resources, and assessments.
* Deliver engaging sessions using diverse teaching methods.
* Assess and record learner progress.
* Adapt delivery methods, incorporating technology as needed.
About You
You will have:
* The ability to motivate and inspire learners.
* A passion for emergency services and armed forces topics.
* Up-to-date relevant knowledge from service experience or recent teaching in FE or schools.
* Experience in active, differentiated teaching styles.
* Flexibility to meet diverse learner needs.
