Customer Service Call Handler (FNOL Team)

At Steer Automotive Group, we go beyond vehicle repair. We help people regain confidence and clarity after an accident. We are looking for a Customer Service Call Handler to join our First Notification of Loss (FNOL) team in Doncaster.
This is an opportunity for a confident communicator who can combine empathy, accuracy, and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
As the first point of contact following a road incident, you will support customers through the initial stages of their claim. You will provide reassurance, gather accurate information, and ensure claims are processed efficiently from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
14. Handle inbound calls from customers reporting accidents or vehicle damage
15. Accurately record and update claim information on internal systems
16. Provide clear and consistent updates throughout the claims process
17. Liaise with insurers, repair centres, and internal departments
18. Manage workload effectively while meeting KPIs and service targets
About You
No automotive experience is required. We value attitude and customer service ability above all.
You will be successful in this role if you:
19. Communicate clearly and confidently by phone and email
20. Remain calm and professional in challenging situations
21. Demonstrate empathy, patience, and problem-solving skills
22. Show strong attention to detail and organisation
23. Have previous customer service experience (call centre, retail, hospitality, or similar)
