Applications are invited for a consultant post (part time) with the ScotSTAR Emergency Medical Retrieval Service (EMRS) North team, operated by the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) based in Aberdeen. This is a 2.5 PA substantive position though applicants deemed suitable for appointment may be considered for subsequent locum appointment.
The EMRS provides a critical care patient transfer service for remote and rural Scotland and pre-hospital critical care for seriously injured patients at incident scenes. EMRS also supports the SAS in the provision of the medical response to major incidents.
The service undertakes primary and secondary retrievals on rotary and fixed wing aircraft tasked & operated by the SAS, by Coastguard Search and Rescue helicopter and by fast response vehicle.
This post is based at the ScotSTAR retrieval base at Aberdeen Airport.
