The Opportunity
We are looking for a commercially driven and relationship-focused leader to take ownership of our commercial growth strategy and strengthen our position across the hotel, MOD, and commercial property sectors.
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving profitable growth, increasing market share, developing long-term client partnerships, and elevating the business as a trusted specialist service provider.
You will lead and develop a high-performing commercial team while identifying new opportunities, growing existing accounts, improving client retention, and increasing overall contract value across the business.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong commercial awareness with exceptional relationship-building skills and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership & Team Performance
* Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing commercial team focused on growth, accountability, and customer excellence.
* Set and manage clear commercial targets aligned to revenue growth, profitability, retention, and account expansion.
* Coach and mentor team members to strengthen commercial awareness, negotiation capability, and client engagement.
* Promote collaboration across commercial, operational, and business development teams to ensure consistent delivery and shared success.
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement and high performance throughout the department.
Client Relationships & Business Growth
* Build and strengthen long-term relationships with key clients, becoming a trusted commercial partner.
* Develop strategic account plans to increase client spend, improve service penetration, and maximise long-term value.
* Identify and convert upselling, cross-selling, and multi-service opportunities across construction, FM, and cleaning services.
* Lead client review meetings, presentations, and commercial discussions to strengthen partnerships and identify new opportunities.
* Support expansion into new sectors and markets through proactive commercial engagement and strategic planning.
* Drive client retention, repeat business, and long-term commercial partnerships.
Commercial Management
* Lead the commercial management of key accounts, ensuring strong margins, sustainable profitability, and service excellence.
* Oversee pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with long-term value creation.
* Manage contract negotiations and commercial agreements while protecting business interests.
* Monitor revenue, margins, pipeline performance, conversion rates, and retention metrics.
* Use commercial data, market insight, and client feedback to support strategic decision-making and performance improvement.
* Maintain strong commercial governance while ensuring a flexible and client-focused approach.
Collaboration & Operational Delivery
* Work closely with operational teams to ensure seamless delivery and alignment between commercial goals and operational performance.
* Support bid and business development teams with commercial insight, pricing strategy, and sector expertise.
* Promote a solutions-focused approach to resolving challenges and maintaining strong client relationships.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience leading commercial growth and managing high-value client relationships.
* Strong leadership skills with experience developing high-performing teams.
* Commercially astute with strong understanding of revenue growth, margin management, and client retention.
* Experience within construction, facilities management, property services, or cleaning sectors is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and drive results.
