We are currently recruiting on behalf of our clients based in Ely who are looking for a Financial Accountant on a full-time basis. This role is office-based and will suit someone with experience in a similar finance/accounting role, ideally within a not-for-profit or public sector organisation. Typical duties include: • Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with accounting standards • Managing the general ledger and ensuring month-end and year-end processes are completed accurately • Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts and financial reports • Monitoring budgets, providing variance analysis, and supporting budget holders • Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements • Processing purchase requests, purchase orders, and invoices, and maintaining accounts payable and receivable • Supporting internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and working papers • Participating in projects and providing cover for the finance team as needed • Providing guidance and support to junior finance staff and other colleagues You will have: • A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) • Previous experience in a financial accounting role, ideally within a not-for-profit or public sector setting • The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders • A proactive and adaptable approach with a willingness to support across the finance function If this role looks like the new challenge that you are looking for, please apply via the advert or contact John at Eclectic Recruitment.
