About The Company:My client is a dynamic and innovative company seeking a highly motivated Head of Sales/Sales Director to join their Senior Management Team. Thier mission is to deliver exceptional service and drive growth through strategic leadership and effective sales management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Management: Directly manage and lead the Sales team, ensuring pricing accuracy, margin improvement, and seamless handover processes for Major Works and Service & Repair teams.
* Client Development: Actively develop a new client base for tendering major and prestigious projects in the UK.
* Performance Management: Conduct one-to-one and performance meetings to improve team performance according to set KPIs and targets.
* Marketing Strategy: Develop, implement, and lead a cohesive marketing strategy to grow the Group's reputation and market knowledge.
* Key Account Management: Serve as the lead point of contact for key account clients, developing opportunities with current clients and finding new clients to enhance our portfolio.
* Senior Management Team: Attend monthly SMT meetings, reporting on progress, status, support, and investment requirements.
* Sales Targets: Work with the CEO and COO to formulate and evaluate annual sales targets in line with the Group’s expectations.
* Sales Campaigns: Develop and implement sales campaigns, defining market needs, potential returns, margins, and processes.
* Compliance: Ensure all activities are compliant with legislative, industry, solicitation, and anti-collusion policies.
* Tender Process: Own and develop the tender process, including consolidation, preparation, pricing, and RFI submission.
* Portfolio Analysis: Analyse the current portfolio to identify loss-making contracts, density gaps, and margin improvement hotspots.
* Client On-boarding: Define and deliver a client on-boarding process, ensuring clear communications and understanding of responsibilities.
* Contract Review: Review current contracts to deliver greater business protection, confirming changes with Legal team and MD.
* CRM Improvement: Assist in defining CRM system requirements for improving sales processes, tracking, and reporting.
Experience:
* Proven experience in sales management and leadership.
* Strong understanding of pricing, margin improvement, and handover processes.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies.
* Experience in managing key accounts and developing new client relationships.
* Familiarity with compliance and legislative requirements.
* Analytical skills for portfolio analysis and contract review.
* Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tracking.
