Overview
The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership is looking for Driver/Storekeepers to join its Health Courier Service, which is based in the Wrexham Area and serves the North Wales Area (Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board). This service offers Clinical Logistics Transport Services across all Health Boards in Wales.
The service typically delivers and collects more than 120,000 mail and medical note items each week, sorts (through its own mail sorting hubs), and transports more than 5 million blood product and pathology sample movements annually in compliance with Accord Dangereux Routier, Good Manufacturing Practice, and legal requirements. Our primary services are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. We do, however, offer a limited number of services around-the-clock.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for stocking items in store centres as well as the safe and secure transportation, distribution, and replenishment of NHS Pathology, Blood/Blood Products, Secure and Non-Secure Stationery, Laundry, Mail/Records, and stock items like medical consumables (such as needles, syringes, and containers) that are delivered to primary health care sites (hospitals, general practitioners’ offices, pharmacies, opticians, and dental offices) throughout NHS Wales as a Health Courier Service.
Although fluency in Welsh is preferred, those who speak English or Welsh are encouraged to apply.
