Business Development Manager
Location: Havant (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £36,547 – £39,372 per annum
Hours: Full time (Monday–Thursday 9.30am–5.30pm, Friday 9.30am–5.00pm)
Enhanced DBS: Required
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing domestic abuse charity and support the organisation’s strategic growth within the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector. This role sits within a dynamic Business Team and plays a key part in securing sustainable funding, supporting service development and ensuring robust governance and data compliance.
Key responsibilities include:

Preparing high-quality, compelling funding bids, grant applications and tender submissions

Supporting the Business Development Director and senior leadership team on complex and high-value funding opportunities
*
Completing tender pre-qualification questionnaires and associated administration accurately and on time
*
Undertaking horizon scanning and pipeline planning to identify new funding opportunities
*
Monitoring and reporting on grants and commissioned contracts in line with SLAs and funder requirements
*
Leading quality assurance processes across reporting, monitoring and data outputs
*
Managing subject access requests, complaints and data queries in line with GDPR and Data Protection legislation
*
Producing written materials including press releases and annual reports
*
Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with funders, commissioners and key stakeholders
*
Leading designated organisational projects, including digital and service development initiatives
*
Line managing and supporting the Data Officer
*
Contributing to organisation-wide improvement through data analysis, insight and evaluation
What we’re looking for:

Experience in bid writing, tender submissions and securing grant funding
*
Strong understanding of the commissioning environment within the VAWG or related sectors
*
Proven ability to analyse data and demonstrate impact and social value
*
Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail
*
Experience of quality assurance, reporting frameworks and outcome measurement
*
Line management experience and ability to prioritise workloads effectively
*
Good working knowledge of GDPR and data protection legislation
*
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
*
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
