Location: Winchester Rural, Hart, Rushmoor, Alton, and Test Valley

Hours: Max.15 hours per week

Job Purpose
The successful candidate will engage with rural communities via high visibility patrols.
Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
1. To assist in providing a high visible mounted presence to provide reassurance to the rural residents.
2. To have regular contact with Country Watch Team and Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) in your local area, ensuring duty reports and feedback are completed and returned to Country Watch Co-ordinator.
3. To ensure relevant information and intelligence is shared with NPT and the country watch team.
4. To engage in Continued Professional Development training as required.
5. To assist with community events, raising awareness of the role.
6. To give regular and effective service.

Essential Experience
To be fit and competent to conduct mounted patrols on a variety of terrains.
Volunteers to complete a minimum of 2 hours a week but not exceeding 15 hours per week.
Volunteers must own a horse or have permission from owner of another horse to undertake mounted rural patrols.
