We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and autonomous HCPC Registered Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our well established Home First Rehabilitation Service in the North of Staffordshire.

You will be part of the Allied Health Professions (AHP) service, providing Occupational Therapy in a variety of settings.

You will be responsible for delivering high quality rehabilitation to patients with a range of physical health conditions, including MSK, Stroke, Parkinson's disease, Neurological conditions, Spinal Injuries, Cancer, Post Surgery, General Frailty, Amputees, and many other conditions, providing a varied and exciting experience within our service.

We offer excellent support through CPD routes and robust learning plans, promoting our service locally, regionally and nationally, including participation in UKSF & CSP conferences.

Due to the varied nature of the role, you will be required to travel across the geographical area to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

The role involves managing a caseload of adults in close liaison with the Home First Team.

* Be a specialist HCPC Registered Specialist Occupational Therapist with detailed professional and clinical knowledge.
* Be highly skilled in the assessment of complex/specialist care/support needs and in the development, implementation and evaluation of care/support packages.
* Have supervisory, training and leadership responsibilities where appropriate, contributing to team performance and service development/improvements.
* Demonstrate initiative and be creative in finding solutions to problem solving.
* Work with the team leader on delegated tasks related to team management.
* Promote independence/self‑management and maintain safety.
* Improve functional ability.
* Improve health and wellbeing, including mental health.


Qualifications

This is an entry level, part time position suitable for a professional HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.
