The Community Support Service helps people regain independence through short-term reablement and recovery.
We are proud to be a CQC-registered service rated ‘Outstanding’ overall.
Our dedicated reablement team works with individuals following illness or injury to rebuild skills, confidence, and the ability to live as independently as possible. We collaborate closely with health professionals and voluntary sector partners to deliver an integrated, person-centred approach.
Unlike traditional home care, we empower people to carry out everyday activities themselves, promoting independence rather than dependency. Working alongside occupational therapists and social workers, we support individuals returning home from hospital and those in the community who want to maintain their independence.
We now have an exciting opportunity for two Team Leaders to join our outstanding service on a one-year fixed-term contract (maternity cover).
We're looking for flexible, motivated, and enthusiastic individuals to join our brilliant team.
Role details:
1. 37 hours per week – between 7am – 10pm
2. Rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays
As a Team Leader, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the service under the guidance of the Deputy and Team Manager. You'll supervise and support a team of Community Support Workers delivering frontline care to our customers.
Essential skills and experience:
3. Background in social care or a related field
4. Team management experience (including Supervision and competency monitoring, recruitment and absence management)
5. Staff rota management
6. Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
7. Excellent verbal and written communication
8. Confident using IT systems and software
9. Experience working in partnership with professionals at all levels
10. Full driving licence and access to a car
11. Knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding procedures
