SPC oversees firms and individuals (supervision), creates and reviews the rules by which they operate (policy) and identifies and remedies ineffective competition in markets (competition).
Sitting in the Infrastructure & Exchanges directorate, the MI Trading Venues & Corporate Finance Firms Department oversees key market infrastructure and around 440 corporate finance firms, while shaping trading venue policy to support fair, orderly, and transparent markets across asset classes
.
Role Responsibilities
* Engage directly with regulated firms to understand firm-specific issues, helping shape smarter, more responsive regulation
* Apply your regulatory expertise to assess complex information and recommend targeted actions, driving meaningful change across firms and markets
* Craft and deliver high-impact communications with internal stakeholders and firms, ensuring clarity and alignment on key regulatory messages
* Guide front-line supervision of a critical portfolio, making a tangible difference in preventing misconduct and protecting market integrity
* Deepen your understanding of wholesale financial markets, gaining exposure to a diverse range of market participants and practices
* Build and leverage strategic relationships, influencing outcomes and delivering through collaboration across teams and external partners
