JOB TITLE: Solicitor/CILEX (ideally 1-5 year PQE)
CONTRACT DURATION: Permanent / Flexible Working(after initial probation period) - Full Time

We are looking for a qualified solicitor or CILEX to join our Sheffield City Centre office. The ideal candidate has experience in family law, strong IT, communication, and a desire to progress their career with a dynamic firm.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* Efficient, confident and an excellent communicator who is able to clearly and concisely advise clients, as well as communicate with colleagues to share ideas and progress cases, with a view to providing excellent and accurate legal advice to achieve the best outcome for clients.
* An understanding of the importance of excellent client care, with a desire and the clear ability to manage and meet/exceed client expectations, including exercising professional judgment, using research, problem‑solving and considering best interests of clients.
* Take responsibility for and run own fee‑earning work (both litigated and non‑litigated) to provide a profitable contribution to the firm within company procedures and guidelines, while under continuous review by a superior. Maintain financial control of caseload through collection of monies on account and billing procedures.
* Assist senior fee earners on complex financial remedy and private children cases, showing initiative and helping to progress cases.
* At least 1 year PQE in the provision of all aspects of private family law, including divorce/dissolution, financial remedy, pre and post‑nuptial agreements, Schedule 1 (if possible), cohabitation and Children Law.
* Professional and friendly on all levels, able to meet high expectations and build productive relationships.
* Excellent communication skills for business development/networking externally and involvement in local groups and societies, and day‑to‑day with colleagues, to grow and market the office.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Self‑motivated, with a flexible attitude to work and time, and strong ability to prioritise caseload and deadlines.
* Ensure confidentiality of the firm’s and client’s documentation and information.
* Contribute positively to departmental/firm‑wide activities.
* Comply with the Solicitors Regulation Authority Code of Conduct at all times.
* Carry out any other duties as and when reasonably instructed.
* Knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Outlook, Excel) and ability to contribute to relevant training.
* Based primarily at Hall Brown’s Sheffield City Centre office, with ability to travel and work out of our other office as required.
