Health & Safety Officer – Residential Construction Co. The Role – Health & Safety Officer As Health & Safety Officer, you will take full responsibility for implementing and maintaining site safety standards on a busy residential project in Mayo. You will work closely with site management and subcontractors to ensure all works are carried out in line with current legislation, company procedures and best practice. This is a key role on site where your input will directly influence safety culture, compliance, and overall project performance. Key Responsibilities: • Promote and enforce a strong Health & Safety culture across the site • Carry out regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments • Ensure compliance with Irish Health & Safety legislation and company policies • Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure safe systems of work are followed • Assist with the preparation and review of method statements and risk assessments • Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions • Maintain accurate safety records, reports and documentation • Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to site teams • Liaise with site management, clients and external stakeholders on all safety matters About You: • Relevant Health & Safety qualification • Experience in a Health & Safety role within construction, ideally residential projects • Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety regulations and compliance requirements • Proven ability to manage site safety on active construction projects • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to risk management • Confident working independently while supporting wider site teams • Committed to maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement What’s on Offer: Salary: €65,000 – €70,000 (DOE) Benefits: • Company vehicle / allowance • Performance-related bonus • Pension contribution • Healthcare package • Ongoing training and professional development • Long-term career progression within a growing contractor Why Apply?
