Role Overview
The business is seeking an experienced Senior BMS Project Engineer, with a hands‑on approach to lead large-scale commercial redevelopment projects. This contract‑based role offers full project engineering responsibilities for designated areas. In addition to ensuring the technical validity of projects, the role will require a robust professional who will be managing the interface between clients and the main contractor.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead large-scale commercial redevelopment projects
* Full project engineering responsibility for allocated areas
* Software strategy and controller configuration
* Panel modifications and technical review
* Point-to-point testing
* Commissioning leadership and witnessing
* Client and main contractor interface management
* Driving programme, resolving technical issues independently, and supporting junior engineers
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience in a similar role
* Proven background in Smart Building/ Building Management Systems
* Experience with Schneider EcoStruxure (ES / AS-P) + Distech systems
* Excellent communication skills
* Able to work in Reading/M4 corridor
* Has a result-driven and able to execute work independently
* Must be able to support junior engineers
