TP Tutors is looking for talented and enthusiastic Maths Teachers to provide tailored tuition in Bilsthorpe and across the wider Nottinghamshire area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners who need extra help with maths, building both skills and confidence.
About the Role
You will deliver engaging tuition sessions outside the traditional classroom, either in learners’ homes or local community venues. Lessons will be adapted to meet individual needs, covering topics such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and problem-solving.
Key Duties
* Deliver high-quality maths tuition (1:1 and small groups)
* Adapt teaching to suit different learning styles and abilities
* Simplify complex concepts to improve understanding and confidence
* Provide constructive feedback after each session
* Uphold safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
Person Specification
* Strong knowledge of the maths curriculum (KS2–KS4, ideally GCSE)
* Teaching or tutoring experience, including work with SEND/SEMH learners
* Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
* Flexible, patient, and empathetic teaching style
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Up-to-date safeguarding training
