Job Description Summary As a Lead Integration validation and Systems Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the mechanical and Electrical test of rotating machines and power generation systems for the marine sector. You will also provide product test support from initial inquiry to project closure. Reporting directly to the Systems Engineering Manager, you will perform both hands-on and office-based activities ensuring the timely testing of solutions that are safe and cost-effective. Job Description In this role you will focus on: Testing rotating machine systems of the highest quality, from the receipt of an order to handover to the customer, while complying with business procedures, standards, and regulations with a high focus on safety throughout. Support installation, commissioning, test, fault finding and upkeep of electro-mechanical systems LV. Coordinate with design team to meet, installation, test, and project objectives (Safety, quality, delivery and cost). Participate in plant control room operations and data acquisition. Undertake equipment installation, maintenance, and modifications. Supervise and manage subcontractors. Identify and propose improvements in processes, tools, and system solutions, rolling out improvements when agreed with leadership team. Maintain and promote the highest standards of Health and Safety. Integration of large electro-mechanical systems to test. Planning and executing relevant engineering activities to ensure projects attain on-time delivery, cost, and quality targets, including testing and documentation. Taking part in phase reviews, design reviews, ILS reviews, FMEA, and determining their attendees, objectives and next steps as well as acting as the review chairperson. Liaison with suppliers to produce quotations and support their site activities. Ensuring issued documents have been reviewed and are of the required quality, with adherence to specifications and standards. Essential qualifications: A relevant degree In Electromechanical or equivalent qualifications. EHS and First Aid Certificates Electrical Competence LV Authorized Proven track record of testing Electro-mechanical systems in a professional engineering environment. Sole British citizenship with a valid British Passport (“UK Eyes only”). Possession of or being capable of obtaining SC level security clearance. Nice to have: Ability to lead a team of engineers. Some experience in project management or project planning. Prior experience on active magnetic bearings. This role involves work for customers who manage critical infrastructure; based on customer requirements it will be necessary to carry out background checks and suitability assessments (UK BPSS clearance OR UK SC clearance) as part of the hiring process.
