We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take overall leadership of our recycling and waste operation. This is a high-profile role delivering essential frontline services that residents and businesses rely on every day.
You will be responsible for the effective leadership, management, and control of our recycling and waste operations, including:
1. Ensuring the overall development and operational success of the recycling and waste service.
2. Driving efficiencies and continual improvement across frontline services, waste operations, and the management team, delivering a world-class service to residents.
3. Managing, coordinating, and developing an effective and efficient waste service for the city, increasing and maintaining domestic recycling rates to industry best standards.
4. Delivering the recycling and waste service while meeting and exceeding KPIs within agreed budgets.
5. Designing, delivering, and managing projects that support ambitious waste reduction and recycling targets.
You will be a confident operational leader with strong people-management skills, a practical approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering excellent, customer-focused services.
