DRIVER ESSENTIAL
Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Female Support Workers to join our team in Buckfastleigh & Newton Abbot.
As a Support Worker, you'll make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, working with a diverse group with unique needs.
Your role includes assisting with daily activities, providing emotional support, personal care, medication support, finance support, food and hygiene with SALT, managing challenging behaviour, and supporting all aspects of day-to-day life. Activities include day trips, gym, holidays, and horse riding.
What we're looking for:
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
This role requires you to be a driver.
Contract options:
* Part-time: flexible hours based on availability
* Days: Between 07:00-22:00
Additional information:
* All services are 24-hour care. Rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance to help you plan your personal and social life.
* Sleep-in shifts are a contractual requirement, with an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70, although not guaranteed.
* Roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
*Due to the nature of this service, we are seeking female-only applicants. This post is exempt under the Equality Act, Schedule 9, Part 1.
