The Role
Working alongside an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in the financial and contractual administration of residential groundwork projects across East Yorkshire. You’ll play an active role in ensuring cost control, accurate reporting, and smooth commercial delivery from pre-contract through to final handover.
Duties will include:
* Supporting the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
* Measuring and valuing works on site.
* Assisting in the procurement of subcontractors and materials.
* Maintaining detailed records of costs, variations, and progress.
* Helping with cost forecasting and budget monitoring.
* Liaising with site teams, engineers, and clients to ensure commercial efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
* Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
* Previous experience or placement in a groundworks, civil engineering or residential contracting environment.
* Good knowledge of Excel and general measurement principles.
* A proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Full driving licence preferred due to site-based travel.
