NRG is proud to be working exclusively with QE Facilities (QEF), a subsidiary of Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust, to appoint a Senior Governance & Control Accountant.
QE Facilities delivers a wide range of critical non-clinical services supporting NHS operations across the North East. This role sits at the heart of that, providing the financial insight, control, and reporting that underpins effective decision-making.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, high-impact role with ownership across capital accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement.
You’ll be joining a collaborative but busy finance team, with a real opportunity to take ownership, relieve pressure, and improve how finance operates.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on capital accounting and reporting, working closely with key stakeholders including the Trust
* Deliver high-quality monthly reporting, including analysis, commentary, and forecasting
* Support budget setting, financial planning, and audit processes
* Drive process improvements and automation, moving away from manual reporting
* Provide clear financial insight and challenge to support decision-making
About You
* Strong experience across management accounting, reporting, and forecasting
* Exposure to capital accounting, fixed assets, or complex financial environments
* Comfortable operating in a hands-on role with real ownership
* Strong stakeholder skills with the ability to influence and support senior colleagues
