We are seeking an experienced and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support a highly complex Year 6 pupil with ADHD, ASD, and SEMH needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a committed individual who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child’s educational and emotional development.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a pupil who presents with very challenging behaviour. Strong relationship-building skills, patience, and consistency are essential in helping the child engage positively with learning and school life.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with complex additional needs (ADHD, ASD, SEMH)
*
Build a strong, trusting relationship to support emotional regulation and engagement
*
Implement tailored strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour
*
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised learning support
*
Encourage positive behaviour and support the development of social skills
*
Maintain accurate records of progress and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Proven experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant
*
Strong understanding of ADHD, ASD, and SEMH needs
*
A calm, resilient, and consistent approach to behaviour management
*
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
*
The ability to remain patient and composed in challenging situations
*
Experience in primary settings (secondary experience will also be considered)
