This role plays a key part in driving operational excellence in a fast-paced, safety-focused, and unionised environment. The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure, work independently and as part of a team, and produce detailed reports and KPIs for senior stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor performance of core fleet and subcontractor allocationTrack and trace over 500 network trailersManage core driver workforce and allocate transport resources efficientlyRoute management and real-time system compliance (Microlise & SEB)Complete system debriefs and ensure accurate administrative follow-upCapture, review, and report on KPIsResolve operational escalations and problem-solve under pressureEnsure O Licence and fleet compliance, including daily auditsSupport driver training plans and vehicle/trailer defect managementDrive continuous improvements through policy updates and adherenceCollaborate with satellite depots, analysts, management, and planning teamsInvestigate accidents and maintain high health & safety standardsOversee agency costs, personnel, and driver-related budgetary controlBuild and sustain strong relationships with the end customerWhat We’re Looking ForExperience:Strong background in transport/logistics (automotive experience advantageous)Knowledge of WTD, tachographs, and telematics systemsFleet and compliance management experienceProficiency in Excel, Word, and admin systemsHealth and safety-conscious with relevant knowledgeSkills & Attributes:Excellent communication and stakeholder managementConfident in high-pressure environments with strong decision-making skillsTeam-oriented with effective leadership and collaboration abilitiesAnalytical and detail-focused when managing reports and KPIsStrong customer service ethic and a professional, presentable approachGeographical Knowledge:Good understanding of the UK motorway networkEducation:Minimum: High school standardLanguages:Fluent in English, verbal and written
