Job summary
The role will be accountable for several areas of the Trust, providing strategic planning and guidance to ensure continued and improved performance across a range of people-specific metrics, with regular reporting to the Senior HR Team.
You will support and advise Employee Relations Advisors on policy, sickness management, grievance, and disciplinary matters.
You will assist People Partner Managers in managing Employment Tribunals and related litigation under Trust Policy.
You will deliver strategic projects supporting the HR Strategy, including organisational change management, coaching and training line managers, and providing in-depth reporting and analysis of people data. Please note the JD is currently indicative, subject to job evaluation review.
Main duties of the job
1. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to support the Trust's People Strategy, leading projects such as organisational change, leadership development, innovative working methods, and employee engagement.
2. Manage investigations and employee relations issues within Trust deadlines, liaising proactively with relevant colleagues.
3. Guide managers on conducting formal employee relations hearings, including disciplinary, grievance, and capability cases, advising on employment legislation such as the Worker Protection (Amendment of the Equality Act 2010).
4. Identify sickness absence trends and implement strategic initiatives to reduce absence in line with Trust targets.
5. Provide expert guidance on people management, development, and employment law, delivering high-quality advice proactively.
