Eames are partnered with a leading Lloyd's syndicate to appoint a Risk Manager into a growing second line risk function.
This position supports the Head of Risk in developing, embedding, and continuously improving the organisation’s risk management framework. The role plays a key part in identifying, assessing, and reporting risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with industry standards. It provides clear, commercially focused, forward-looking risk oversight to support strategic objectives and sits within the second line of defence.
This is a strong opportunity for either an experienced Risk Manager professional to further develop their career or a Analyst looking to step up into high performing and growing team.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in maintaining and enhancing the enterprise risk management framework
* Promote risk awareness and support training initiatives across the business
* Encourage strong risk ownership throughout all departments
* Prepare and coordinate high-quality risk reports for internal committees and external stakeholders
* Ensure clear and effective risk communication across the organisation
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date risk and control registers
* Ensure alignment with the evolving risk profile, including emerging risks
* Facilitate RCSA processes across business areas
* Ensure risks and controls are properly assessed, documented, and tested
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* Proven experience in risk management within the insurance or financial services sector
* Strong understanding of key risk types and regulatory expectations
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as prudential standards and solvency requirements
