Join Anglian Water's Strategic Pipeline Alliance as a Land Quality & Agricultural Consultant. Location: Flexible/Hybrid work from home, with occasional visits to Peterborough office. Employment Type: Part-time, (3 days per week) Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about contributing to one of the UK’s most ambitious water infrastructure projects? The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for a Land Quality & Agricultural Consultant to support and enhance our project delivery team. What will you be doing as our new Land Quality & Agricultural Consultant ? You will be responsible for, and involved in, producing land quality desk studies, use of GIS, Geology and Soils ES chapters, stakeholder/regulator liaison, ground investigation scoping and management, and interpretative risk assessments. You will support with the procurement and management of supply chain partners and contractors in the undertaking of land quality and agricultural assessments. Successful delivery of the role will require you to work alongside other relevant SPA team members, including the geotechnical, ground investigation, design and construction teams, as well as all other EIA disciplines to ensure a collaborative understanding of outcomes and technical consistency is maintained. Key responsibilities: Contribute to stakeholder and regulator consultation/liaison to ensure the SPA consenting teams have the best opportunity for gaining approvals in a timely and cost- effective manner. Facilitate the sharing of land quality and agricultural expertise across the SPA Framework. Contribute to development of a standardised approach to produce land quality and agricultural (including digital) outputs. Collaborate with stakeholder engagement with 3rd party interfaces to ensure the SPA Framework consenting teams have the best opportunity for gaining approvals in a timely and cost- effective manner. Take personal responsibility for supporting programme delivery, particularly in the areas of adopting risk-based approaches, cost control and programme management. Work with the Land Quality Lead and other team members to ensure that programme meets SPA milestones A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours: This job might be for you if you have: A strong technical background and demonstrable knowledge of land quality, soil quality and agricultural aspects in consent applications. Experience in producing land quality and agricultural land EIA inputs and risk assessments ideally on large-scale, linear infrastructure schemes; having a background in water infrastructure being a bonus. Ability to work flexibly across several projects and to meet required deadlines. Experience of using QGIS/ArcGIS.
