Recycling Supervisor
Salary– £35,000 - £39,000
Hours – 40 hours per week, typically 7.45am to 5.00pm
Location & Postcode – Dix Pit, OX29 5BB
As a Recycling Supervisor at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and effective operation of the site. You will support the Contract Operations Manager in delivering high standards of service, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements, and meeting customer expectations while operating within budget.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all staff, contractors and visitors on site
- Operating mobile plant where required to assist operations
- Supervising waste, recycling and processing activities to ensure efficient site operations
- Ensuring compliance with FCC Environment’s Integrated Management System and associated procedures
- Managing waste inputs and outputs in line with site permits and environmental requirements
- Conducting and reviewing risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Supervising, instructing and supporting site staff, contractors and visitors
- Ensuring accident, incident and near-miss reporting procedures are followed
- Supporting the Contract Operations Manager with operational issues, customer queries and site development
- Completing daily and weekly site checks and inspections
- Ensuring service standards are met, including customer service, vehicle turnaround times and health & safety compliance
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience within waste management or a similar operational environment
- Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation
- Experience supervising teams in a busy, operational setting
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work flexibly and manage multiple priorities
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy
- A proactive approach with a strong work ethic
