We’re looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring General Manager to lead our amazing Watford team to even greater heights!
Your Mission
As the General Manager, you'll report directly to the franchise owner and oversee a team of 4–6 managers and approximately 40–50 team members. Your role is to lead the park’s daily operations while ensuring a safe, fun and unforgettable guest experience.
You’ll be:
- Inspiring, mentoring and leading by example
Driving the park’s performance and commercial success
- Managing compliance and safety with precision
- Working hand-in-hand with the franchisee to shape the park’s future strategy
Key Measures of Success
Customer Experience – Deliver top-tier guest satisfaction across general visits, parties and special events. Continuously improve feedback scores and NPS performance.
Targets & Commercial Performance – Hit revenue targets via memberships, upsells, parties/events, guest numbers, achieving operational cost control and budget management.
Health & Safety & Compliance – Ensure complete compliance with SOPs, health and safety policies, audits, training and incident response. Emphasis on standard operating procedures, team member training and operational performance monitoring.
Strategic Leadership – Collaborate with the franchise owner to drive the long-term vision and strategy for the park.
Key Responsibilities
- Thrive in a multi-functional, fast-paced, high-footfall environment, where being hands-on is essential to your leadership style
- Follow the park’s opening and closing procedures, as well as all operational objectives
- Lead by example and engage actively with the team
- Work with the Assistant General Manager to recruit, coach, develop and mentor team members
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor to support guests and team members
- Identify and implement commercial opportunities for revenue growth
- Embed safety and compliance into all daily park operations
- Ensure robust procedures for accidents, incidents and contingency planning, including test drills and team training
- Oversee park maintenance and presentation standards
- Manage facilities operations, including maintenance, catering, party services and inspections
- Communicate effectively, responding to feedback from guests and team members
- Lead with resilience, integrity and positivity
- Take ownership of team member performance management
- Foster a positive, energetic team environment
- Engage with team members regularly
- Represent Flip Out Watford and the wider Flip Out UK network
- Be flexible with working hours, including potential out-of-hours commitments
- Strive to lead in NPS scores, mystery shops and online reviews
Qualifications & Skills
- Management experience in leisure, hospitality or similar high-energy settings
- Strong knowledge of health and safety practices
- Familiarity with HR processes and staff development
- Commercial and financial awareness
- Basic IT and administrative proficiency, including scheduling, reporting and email communication
Working Conditions
Fridays to Sundays and school holidays are peak periods (holiday requests are considered outside these times)
Full-time, on-site role at Flip Out Watford
Training, tools and ongoing support provided
Performance-based bonus scheme

Salary up to £41,200 per annum, depending on experience
