An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Recruitment team on a secondment until June 2027, offering valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The Recruitment Advisor will play a key role within a busy and fast-paced department, working closely with the Recruitment Manager to deliver an efficient and effective recruitment and onboarding service in line with Trust policy and procedure.
The post-holder will be responsible for maintaining and updating relevant recruitment systems, supporting all stages of the recruitment process for key roles across the organisation. This will include submitting advert requests, coordinating interview panels, assessing candidates, and communicating outcomes.
In addition, the role will involve providing expert advice to the organisation on recruitment and selection, including best practice guidance on candidate attraction strategies, whilst ensuring compliance with relevant policies, legislation, and principles of fairness and equality.


Main duties of the job

The Recruitment Advisor will work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused recruitment service within a busy environment. The role involves building strong relationships, coaching recruiting managers through all stages of the recruitment process, and providing expert advice on policies, best practice, and compliance. The post-holder will lead on end-to-end recruitment activity for key roles, including candidate attraction, shortlisting, interviews, and onboarding, while analysing recruitment data and performance to drive continuous improvement. They will also plan and coordinate recruitment campaigns, support policy development, maintain recruitment systems, and contribute to workforce planning, ensuring fair, efficient, and effective hiring processes across the organisation.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

In line with the Trust’s Starting Salary Procedure, all applicants will start at the bottom of the band for the position applied for, but can apply for a higher salary if they have previous experience relevant to the position.

Qualifications and Knowledge


Essential criteria

* Educated to Degree level in a professionally related subject or equivalent level of relevant experience.
* Knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and policy parameters which guide recruitment, resourcing and exit.


Desirable criteria

* Membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development or working towards.
* Project management qualification/experience


Experience


Essential criteria

* Experience of delivering excellent recruitment services inside a medium sized organisation.
* Experience in modern, social recruitment methods.
* Experience of collaborating effectively with external suppliers to plan and deliver services.
* Evidence of actively participating in service improvement and effectiveness.
* Demonstrable experience in leading and managing recruitment projects.


Desirable criteria

* Experience of utilising NHS recruitment and workforce information systems


Skills and Attributes


Essential criteria

* Able to develop professional relationships, including being able to build personal and professional credibility with management, clinical teams and staff.
* Able to conduct interviews, particularly competency based interviewing, and assessment centres to generate objective and fair decisions
* Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden, unexpected demands
* Able to execute a recruitment plan to agreed standards and deadlines.
* Able to adopt a customer service and continuous improvement mind-set
